Don’t make this deadly marketing mistake!
Not having a business card that clearly shows what you do and the benefit to the recipient is a terrible mistake.
A few days after attending or speaking at a networking event or business conference, I look through the all business cards I’ve collected and, for the life of me, I don’t have a clue as to what so many of the people I met do.
If your business name does not clearly indicate the precise nature of your business e.g. Tom Smith, Chartered Accountant, make sure that something on your card explains precisely what you do AND the benefits of doing business with you.
Most of the cards I see are also blank on the back.
Use this other side to explain those benefits, maybe your USP or your mission statement. Anything that will encourage people to do business with you rather than your competition.
You pay for a two-sided card so why not use both sides!
Take a look at your collection of business cards and you’ll see what I mean, and of course your own!
What you do may be clear to you, but what about me?
